Managing Money When There Is None : A skill share for disabled folks
Disability is the largest social predictor of poverty, and disabled folks live in poverty at three times the rates of non-disabled people.
Twenty-five percent (or more!) of disabled people in our country live below the federal poverty line, and fifteen percent of us live in deep poverty. All of us live in fear of losing our income due to disability at any time.
And yet, we still must somehow manage our money, when there is no money to manage. We still must budget, when at the end of the month there is nothing left to budget.
Come learn about basic financial literacy, some tools and tips to help us make it through the month, and connect with the wonderful folks at the Financial Empowerment Center!
All of our Skill Share events are offered at no cost. This event includes ASL interpretation, and auto-captions. If you have other access needs please email us at info@disabledpgh.org!
